Skin care product evaluation in a group of critically ill, premature neonates: a descriptive study.

Cleansing, moisturizing, and protecting neonatal skin is important, but literature evaluating specific product lines is limited. The purpose of this study was to measure the influence of a skin care product line on overall skin condition, perineal erythema, and pain when applied to neonates in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Het reinigen, hydrateren en beschermen van de neonatale huid is belangrijk, maar er is weinig literatuur over het evalueren van specifieke productlijnen. Het doel van dit onderzoek was het meten van de invloed van een huidverzorgingsproductlijn op de algehele huidconditie, perineaal erytheem en pijn bij toepassing op pasgeborenen in een neonatale intensivecareafdeling (NICU).
